Creston RCMP received 62 calls for service from April 25 to April 30, 2023.
April 25

- Officers attended a motor vehicle incident. A vehicle was struck by another. There were minor injuries and one driver was charged.
- Officers attended a disturbance in downtown Creston. A man had allegedly attempted to steal a bicycle from a group of youths. The man was arrested by police and found to be having a mental health crisis. Officers took the man to the hospital to receive treatment.
April 27
- Officers attended a disturbance in Creston. Officers spoke with a man yelling and assisted him in calming down.
- Officers were advised of a lost child in a rural area. Police activated all available police resources, including search and rescue. En route to the location, the child was located safe and had just gotten lost walking their dog.
April 29
- Police received a report of an intoxicated person on the street. Before police attended, the person obtained a ride home with a taxi.
- Police were advised that youth were on a roof at a local park.
- An officer located a vehicle driving with no lights on at night and conducted a traffic stop. The officer immediately noticed signs of impairment and determined the driver was impaired by alcohol. The driver was issued a driving prohibition and the vehicle was impounded.
April 30
- Police were advised of a noise complaint.
- Police conducted a check wellbeing. A person reported that they observed a man with a flashlight and a screw driver. The person reported they had watched "Breaking Bad" and since the man was sketchy and the RV had a smoker, this was obviously an ongoing meth cook. Officers attended and located two highly agitated men who were not happy to see police. Officers were familiar with both men and found this to be their normal behaviour, and left the men to their own devices. There were no signs of meth cooking at the location.
- Police were advised of a bylaw issue in a rural area. The complainant was advised that there is a bylaw officer for their area and was provided the contact information. The complainant was very happy to receive this information.
