RCMP seeks witnesses to assault

On October 11, 2022 Salmo RCMP members responded to a report of a serious assault that occurred on the rails to trails path off of Hwy 6 near Ymir.
An adult male was beaten by an unknown male suspect at the location and was subsequently transported to hospital for treatment of his injuries.
This matter is still under investigation and police are reaching out to the public in hopes that someone will come forward who either witnessed this assault or knows who the suspect may be.
