Serious car accident on Highway 99 sends critically injured pedestrian to hospital

On October 29, 2022, at about 1:35 a.m., Squamish RCMP received a report of a serious car accident that happened on Highway 99 near Finch Dr. The accident involved a car and a pedestrian.

The Integrated Collision and Reconstruction Service, Fire Rescue, and BC Ambulance Service responded.

A car reportedly hit a pedestrian, causing significant injury to the pedestrian who was transported to a lower mainland hospital for medical attention. The pedestrian remains in critical condition with undisclosed injuries.

The police investigation is centered around a car hitting a pedestrian, and while alcohol is not involved, police continue gathering information to put the sequence of events together. The driver is fully cooperative with the investigation.
