BC RCMP notifies IIO BC of incident in Tsay Keh Dene

 The BC RCMP has notified the Independent Investigations Office of British Columbia (IIO BC) of an incident in Tsay Keh Dene where one man suffered serious injuries.

On September 13, Tsay Keh Dene RCMP received a report of a domestic disturbance between a man and a woman at a residence.

When members arrived, they reportedly found the home empty except for a locked bedroom door. Officers forced the door open and located a man suffering from what appeared to be self-inflicted wounds.

Officers transported the man to hospital with serious injuries. The woman who was mentioned in the initial report has been located safely.

The IIO BC has been notified and is investigating the actions of police. As the matter is now under investigation by the IIO BC, no further information will be released by police.
