File # 2022-6025

At approximately 9:30am this morning, Cranbrook RCMP received a call regarding a hit and run on Victoria Ave near 10th Street South. A black F150 pickup with BC license plate DK5869 was observed colliding with a speed reader board and fleeing South bound towards the Gold Creek area. Investigation later determined the attached license plate DK5869 had been stolen from an unsuspecting resident. Investigators have identified several related incidents of plate swapping and urge area residents to confirm their own license plates.
