The Fort St John RCMP wish to invite the public to meet and support the North District Cops for Cancer team members on Saturday, July 9th, 2022, at the Safeway parking lot, located at 9123 100th Street, between 10am-2pm.

The North District Cops for Cancer team, "North Peace Blue Flames", will be teaming up with the Charlie Lake and Taylor fire departments to hold a car wash and hotdog fundraiser to raise funds for the Cops for Cancer Tour de North in support of pediatric cancer research and programs for children living with cancer.

The North Peace Blue Flames is made up of five police officers from Chetwynd, Dawson Creek and Fort St John with the goal of raising $40,000.  The team hosted a fundraiser in Chetwynd on July 7th and raised over $11,000.

This year, along with four other Cops for Cancer tours, Tour de North riders will cycle over 800km across the varied terrains of Northern BC from September 14-20, 2022 following a route from Dawson Creek to Williams Lake, BC.

The North District Cops for Cancer team wish to thank The Butcher Block, Safeway, Mic Suds Car & Truck Wash and Systems Sound Source as a few of the local businesses making this event possible along with numerous volunteers.

Cash donations, e-transfer (blueflames2021@yahoo.com), credit card or QR code scan will be available on site to accept donations.  Any donations over $20 will receive a tax receipt. Donations go to the Canadian Cancer Society.
