Kitimat RCMP seizes drugs at Kitimat residence

On June 23, 2022 Kitimat RCMP executed a public safety warrant on a local residence after two males involved in a robbery were identified. During the warrant execution a quantity of drugs and other drug paraphernalia was observed in plain view and a search warrant was sought under the controlled drug and substance act. Approximately 1.2 ounces of suspected methamphetamine, assorted pills and other drugs and cash were seized in relation to drug trafficking. One male was arrested during the warrant execution and the second male was located and arrested later on.

Thankfully no one was hurt in what could have been a very serious situation said Sargent Black, We are also very pleased to have removed quantities of drugs from the streets.

No one was injured during either incident, and the involved parties were known to each other and police. Police are continuing their investigation into the matters.
