Collision
On June 16 at 9:45am, Lillooet RCMP responded to a collision at 8th Ave and Main St. A woman in a Honda CRV had opened her driver’s side door to exit, when an electric bicycle approaching from behind struck the door bending it forward. The bicycle rider was wearing a helmet, appeared to have minor injuries, and was transported to a local hospital. A witness reported the bicycle rider came around a corner travelling at 30-40km/h and appeared to have a coffee cup in hand.

Intoxicated in public
On June 16 at 5pm, Lillooet RCMP observed a man walking past the detachment that appeared intoxicated. Police approached the man who smelled of alcohol and had slurred speech. The man was arrested for being intoxicated in public and walked through the parking lot and into Lillooet cell where he spent the night to sober up.

Unwanted person
On June 16 at 3pm, Bridge River Reserve informed Lillooet RCMP that a man had been banned from the reserve and was believed to be staying at a residence on the reserve. Police attended the residence and located the unwanted, and delivered a letter to him from the band office informing him he had been banned from the reserve. Lillooet RCMP transported the man off reserve to a residence of his choosing to prevent further problems.

Road check
On June 17 at 9pm Lillooet RCMP conducted a road check in the 700 block of Main St. Approximately 60 vehicles were checked. One warning was given. One driver was administered a breathalyzer and blew a warning. The driver was prohibited from driving for three days and the matter was referred to RoadSafetyBC. The check stop was concluded at 2200hrs.

Breach
On June 17 at 11pm, Lillooet RCMP responded to a report of a man at the BC Hydro Seton Lake campground becoming aggressive with the people he was there with, and was in possession of a machete. Police attended and located the man, who was found to be breaching several conditions. The man was arrested and transported to Lillooet cells. A bail hearing was conducted and the man was remanded in custody and transported to Kamloops Regional Correctional Centre.

Indecent Act and Assault Police
On June 18 at 10:45am, Lillooet RCMP responded to a report of a man masturbating near Russel Lane. Police attended and located the man in the bushes who was at that point clothed and told to leave the area. While departing the man began yelling and swearing at police. Police cautioned the man that he would be arrested for causing a disturbance if he did not stop yelling. The man continued to yell and began walking into traffic, at which point he was informed he was under arrest for causing a disturbance. As the officer attempted to gain control of the man, he turned and punched the member in the face. The officer was able to wrestle the man to the ground and restrain him until backup arrived. Police were able to place the man in handcuffs and transport him to Lillooet cells. Police forwarded several charges including indecent act, and assault police officer. A bail hearing was conducted, and a Judge elected to release the man on conditions.

Liquor Act
On June 19 at 2:30pm, Lillooet RCMP conducted a patrol of Downton Park and located two men with open cans of beer. The men were instructed to pour out their beer. The men were cooperative and were observed leaving the park shortly after. Lillooet RCMP continue to monitor the area for open alcohol.
