1. 2022-2375 – Impaired
On April 21, 2022 BCHP (BC Highway Patrol) was actively patrolling Highway 99 when a Member saw a vehicle, driving northbound, swerving in and out of their lane. The Member conducted a roadside stop where the driver was issued a breath test, twice. Both times produced a Fail. The vehicle was towed and secured for 30 days and the driver was given a 90 day driving prohibition. The driver and her passenger were picked up by a friend.

2. 2022-2430. 2022-2438 – Theft
On April 24, 2022 Squamish RCMP received multiple reports of vehicles broken into with tools, bank cards, and bikes stolen throughout Whistler and Squamish. All reports alleged the same suspect vehicle and a description of the driver was provided. One of the bank cards alleged to have been stolen out of Whistler was subsequently used fraudulently in Squamish. Squamish RCMP actively patrolled the area to locate the vehicle and driver and were successful. The driver was arrested for multiple charges and the vehicle was towed for further investigation. Stolen items were retuned to their lawful owners. This crime spree was effectively disrupted as a result of coordinated efforts between Squamish and Whistler RCMP.
