Cops arresting Vernon's finest April 21st

You’d better watch your back on Thursday, particularly if you’re guilty of crimes against your friends
.
Cops for Kids is partnering with Boston Pizza and the Armstrong Kin Club to host the annual Jail & Bail event again this year, where jailbirds will be arrested by off-duty RCMP members before learning of their trump charges. Jailbirds will have the choice of serving their term on house arrest
at their location, or in custody’ by visiting the slammer set up at Boston Pizza. Either way, all bail raised in the form of pledges will support Cops for Kids.
Cops for Kids supports children across South Eastern BC facing illness, disability, or traumatic crisis through fundraising efforts in communities across the district throughout the year. For Vernon area RCMP members, it’s a way to give back to the community where they live and serve.
The event is also a great way to put the fun back in fundraising. We love to surprise the jailbirds when they get arrested, but we also appreciate the jailbirds who turn themselves in,
claims Cops for Kids Director Cst. Nick Reimann. As one of the key fundraisers for the year, we always look forward to partnering with Boston Pizza and the Armstrong Kin Club to reach even more kids who need our help
The one-day event will catch some off-guard while other jailbirds will turn themselves in for the good cause. Anyone wishing to nominate a friend, colleague, or even themselves, for arrest, can contact the organization.
If you, or someone you know might be deserving of a summons
, please email info@copsforkids.org or call (250) 801-4438 to arrange their arrest.
