Abbotsford man pleaded guilty after being caught in a stolen car

On September 8, 2021, an Abbotsford man was caught in a stolen vehicle driving on the Coquihala Highway through Merritt. See original release here.

On March 31, 2022, Mr. Tyler Klutskow pleaded guilty to Possession of Stolen Property, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Fail to Comply with Release Order. He received 365 days in jail, probation for 1 year and a 12 month driving prohibition. 

Merritt woman receives a conditional discharge after a home invasion

On March 21, 2021, Merritt Front Line Officers were called to a home in the 2800 block of Cranna Crescent. It was alleged that Ms. Christeena Clarke had broken into the home and assaulted a victim over a personal dispute. See original release here.

On March 31, 2022, in Supreme Court, Ms. Clarke pleaded guilty to being Unlawfully in a Dwelling House and Assault. She received a conditional discharge for both offences, probation for 18 months and was ordered to pay a $200 victim surcharge.
