File # 2022-1835

On Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at 7:24 pm, Dawson Creek RCMP were notified of an abduction that had occurred in Pouce Coupe.

A youth had been riding a bicycle in the area of 47th Avenue and Railroad Road between 5:30 pm and 7:00 pm. A van stopped, and two men put the victim and bicycle in the van.

The van drove around before the victim managed to escape the van, rode the bicycle home, and made the call to the police. It appears that the victim was not physically harmed.

The van has been described as a newer blue utility van with no sliding doors and center opening rear doors with no windows. The suspect has been described as Caucasian man, approximately 25-30 years of age, with dyed purple hair and a distinctive black dragon tattoo on his forearm. There is no description available of the other suspect but is believed to be a man.

The police urge anyone who may have been in the area during this time, anyone with dash cam video, and anyone who may have seen individuals and a van matching the description to call the police, said S/Sgt Damon Werrell NCO I/c Dawson Creek RCMP.

If you have any information about this contact the Dawson Creek RCMP at (250) 784-3700
