Assault, and Theft of Firearms at a Residence in Thornhill

Police are seeking the public’s assistance after one man was injured and firearms stolen from his home.

In the early hours of January 26, 2022, the Terrace RCMP received a call to a home in Thornhill with information that at least two masked suspects, believed to be men, burst into his home. Two masked suspects assaulted the man inside and items were stolen, including 2 firearms, before suspects ran off.

The man received non life threatening injuries and was taken to an area hospital by EHS for treatment.

At this time, police believe this to be a targeted offence.

FIS has been engaged.

The RCMP is asking anyone with video surveillance in the neighbourhood of Simpson Crescent to check their cameras between 11:00 pm on January 25 and and 1:00 am on January 26 for any suspicious activity, vehicles or people.
