File # 2021-3332 Cyclist struck

On July 20th, at approximately 2:00 PM, Whistler RCMP responded to a report of a cyclist who was struck by a vehicle in the 3200 block of Archibald Way. The cyclist had attempted to ride past the vehicle which then made a turn, causing the cyclist to collided with the driver side door. The cyclist suffered minor injuries as a result of this collision. Whistler RCMP are still investigating. Cpl Miller would like to remind all motorist to drive with caution during these busy tourist months given the high volume of pedestrian and cyclist traffic within the RMOW.


21-3364: Toddler struck by vehicle

On July 21st at approximately 6:30 PM, Pemberton RCMP responded to an incident of a 2-year-old who had been struck by a vehicle in the 2000 block of Tiyata Blvd. RCMP attended the scene and learnt that the young boy had ran on to the street and was struck by a car. The young boy fortunately only suffered minor injuries. The driver of the vehicle was issued a violation ticket for drive without due care. Cpl Miller is urging the public to slow down while driving through residential neighbour hoods. It only takes a spilt second for a child to run into the street. The young boy was extremely lucky to have only suffered minor injuries from this event. If you observe any concerning motorist activity, please contact the Whistler RCMP non-emergency line.

21-3347 Arrest led to seizure of large amount of Drugs

On July 21st, at approximately 745AM, the Pemberton RCMP conducted a traffic stop in the area of Hwy 99 and Portage Rd. During the traffic stop occupants were arrested for Possession of a controlled substance. A search incident to arrest led to the seizure of: 1.3kg of suspected cocaine, 154g of suspected heroine and 14g Fentanyl. The male driver and female passenger were later released on court documents for Possession for the purpose of trafficking.
