File # 2021-2313

On Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at 2:11 a.m., two people walked into a convenience store on Burrard Street in Vanderhoof, armed with a gun and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

RCMP immediately attended the store and spoke to the lone employee. It was learned that the pair, armed with a gun and, what appeared to be a crowbar, demanded money from the employee before fleeing on foot.

The investigation, which included reviewing surveillance footage, helped police identify both suspects. With the assistance of PDS, police attended a residence where both suspects were located. Both individuals, along with a resident of the house, were arrested without incident.

There were no reports of injuries during the robbery and the investigation is continuing.

If you have any information about this contact the Vanderhoof RMCP (250) 567-2222 or Crime Stoppers at 1(800) 222-8477.
