Police respond to 377 calls from February 8 to February 21

The Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 377 calls from Monday February 8, to midnight on Sunday February 21. Of those calls approximately 75 occurred between Friday the 12 and Sunday the 14, 75 occurred between Friday the 19 and Sunday the 21. Below are some highlights from calls for service received:

On the afternoon of Thursday, February 11, 2021 the Terrace RCMP responded to a report of a collision where a truck had struck an unoccupied vehicle on Eby Street. Police attended and spoke with the driver who had one occupant. There was a strong smell of liquor emanating from the driver’s breath. Suspecting the driver may be impaired, members obtained two roadside samples of breath from the driver where they blew a fail. The driver was issued an IRP 90 Day, a violation ticket for Drive Without Due Care under the Motor Vehicle Act and vehicle was impounded for 30 days. 

On the afternoon of Tuesday, February 16, 2021 the Terrace RCMP responded report of an assault between a male and female which occurred on Lakelse Avenue. Police attended and located the female victim on scene who had been assaulted by her partner. The male was located by members at an alternate location and was presently bound by no-contact conditions with the victim. During this time, the male attempted to contact the female to coerce her into not pressing charges. The male was arrested for Assault x 2, Breach of Release Order x 3, Breach of Probation Order and Intimidation. The male was held in-custody for court and subsequently sentenced to Prince George Correctional Centre.

On the afternoon of Wednesday February, 17, 2021 Terrace RCMP were dispatched the Sunshine Inn to a report of two unwelcome guests who were visiting with an individual presently on Covid-19 quarantine. Members attended and advised the two men they were unwelcome at the location and must leave. The men became combative with Police, lifting a chair and attempted to strike the member with it, shouting expletives and threatening to kill the Police officers on scene. The men were arrested for Assault with a Weapon, Resist Arrest and Uttering Threats and were later released by Police Undertaking to address matter in court.

The Terrace RCMP are requesting assistance in locating a wanted person. Wanted on Terrace files: 2020-6766, 2020-10897, 2020-9334, 2020-5486 and 2020-6999. Annette Clayton is wanted for charges of Breach of Undertaking and Assault. Clayton is described to be 18 years old, 5’6 tall, Indigenous, approximately 130lbs with black hair and brown eyes. If located, contact the RCMP or the police of jurisdiction in your area. Do not confront the wanted.

The Terrace RCMP are requesting assistance in locating a wanted person. Wanted on Terrace files: 2020-245. Whitney Clayton is wanted for charges of Theft Under and Drive while Prohibited. Clayton is described as Indigenous, approximately 26 years old, 5’4, 130lbs with brown hair and brown eyes. If located, contact the RCMP or the police of jurisdiction in your area. Do not confront the wanted.

The Terrace RCMP are requesting assistance in locating a wanted person. Wanted on Terrace files: 2019-10772. Robin Nisyok is wanted to provide a DNA sample. Nisyok is described as Indigenous, 21 years old, 6’1 and 150 lbs with black hair and brown eyes. If located, contact the RCMP or the police of jurisdiction in your area. Do not confront the wanted.
