Police respond to 370 calls from December 21 to January 03

The Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 370 calls from Monday December 21, to midnight on Sunday January 03. Of those calls approximately 56 occurred between Friday the 25 and Sunday the 27 and 98 occurred between Friday the 29 and Sunday the 31. Below are some highlights from calls for service received:

On the evening of Wednesday, December 23, 2020, the Terrace RCMP was on routine patrol when they observed a vehicle drifting back and forth into oncoming traffic. Concerned for driver and public safety, members conducted a roadside stop with vehicle. Police spoke with the female driver who had one occupant when it was noted the female driver smelled strongly of alcohol. A member administered a roadside test which resulted in a FAIL. The driver was issued a 90-Day driving prohibition and the vehicle was towed to be impounded for 30 days. The driver and passenger were provided safe transportation to her residence.

On the evening of Saturday, December 26, 2020 Terrace RCMP responded to report of an Assault with a Weapon. Members attended the residence and were advised by the adult female victim who was located outside that her spouse had held her down by knifepoint and had then later forcibly confined her within the residence. Police entered the house and located the male who was arrested for Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Assault with a Weapon and Forcible Confinement. The male was transported to Terrace RCMP Detachment where he refused to abide by Police release conditions and as a result was held in custody for a Bail Hearing.

On the evening of Saturday, January 2, 2021 Terrace RCMP were notified by members of the public that an adult male was displaying threatening behaviour outside of a residence. The male was described to be yelling expletives and was in possession of a weapon. Police attended and located the male who was stabbing the residence with a knife and uttering threats to the homeowner. The male was arrested for Assault with a Weapon, Uttering Threats and Mischief Under. Upon further investigation when speaking with the male, he was then apprehended under the Mental Health Act and transported to Mills Memorial Hospital by Police where he was then admitted.

The Terrace RCMP are requesting assistance in locating a wanted person. Wanted on Terrace files: 2019-3920. Clayton Wayne Jordan is wanted for charges of Fail to Comply and Obstruction of Justice. Jordan is described to be 37 years old, 5’7 tall, approximately 221lbs with brown hair and Green eyes. If located, contact the RCMP or the police of jurisdiction in your area. Do not confront the wanted.

The Terrace RCMP are requesting assistance in locating a wanted person. Wanted on Terrace files: 2019-2745, 2018-12127 and 2019-635. Amanda Charmaine Bird is wanted for charges of Theft Under $5000 x 2 and Utter Forged Document. Bird is described as Caucasian, approximately 30 years old, 5’6, 130lbs with brown hair and blue eyes. If located, contact the RCMP or the police of jurisdiction in your area. Do not confront the wanted.

The Terrace RCMP are requesting assistance in locating a wanted person. Wanted on Terrace files: 2019-10184 and 2019-7711. Chelsea Irene Wesley is wanted for charges of Possession of Stolen Property, Resist Arrest and Possession of Controlled Substance. Wesley is described as Indigenous, 22 years old, 5’2 and 89 lbs with black hair and brown eyes. If located, contact the RCMP or the police of jurisdiction in your area. Do not confront the wanted.
