1. December 29th, 2020:

On December 29, 2020 the Whistler RCMP responded to two separate house party complaints. The first incident occurred approximately 7:15 pm, the Whistler RCMP responded to a large house party in the 1500 block of Spring Creek Drive. The Whistler RCMP attended to the location and observed a gathering of approximately 15 adults, not social distancing and not wearing face masks in the driveway of the residence. A "pop-up" tent was set up in the driveway with a campfire. The attending RCMP members explained the Public Health Order to the home owner. A violation ticket was issued as per the Covid-19 Related Measures Act. The fine amount for this offence is $2,300.

The second incident occurred at approximately 11:15 pm, the Whistler RCMP responded to a noise complaint of a loud house party in the 3200 block of Blueberry Drive. The Whistler RCMP learned that the occupants of the unit were in Whistler for non-essential travel, on vacation. Further, occupants of the unit were not of the same house hold. A violation ticket was issued as per the Covid-19 Related Measures Act for the fine amount of $2,300. The Whistler RCMP would like to remind the public to please follow the Public Health Orders.

2. December 31st, 2020/January 1st, 2021:

On December 31, 2020 at approximately 3:30 PM the Whistler RCMP responded to a group of people throwing beers cans from a unit down onto patrons in the Village. The Whistler RCMP attended to the 4000 block of Golfers Approach and spoke to individuals. The attending members learned that the occupants of the unit were in contravention of the Gatherings and Events Order" under Section 2(2) of the Covid Related Measures Act (CRMA), a violation ticket in the amount of $2300 was issued.

On January 1st, 2021 at approximately 12:00 am a large number of people gathered at the base of Whistler mountain. The Whistler RCMP attended and intervened as an individual had brought a speaker and started playing music which caused a social gathering of approximately 100 people. The individual was issued a $2,300 fine under the Covid 19-Related Measures Act. The crowd was dispersed.
