Police respond to 207 calls from November 30 to December 6

The Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 230 calls from Monday, November 30, to midnight on Sunday, December 6 2020. Of those calls approximately 78 occurred between Friday the 4 and Sunday the 6. Below are some highlights from calls for service received: 

On the morning of Tuesday, December 1, 2020, Terrace RCMP were notified by a neighbor of a domestic assault that had taken place. Police attended and located the adult female victim who had sustained minor injuries from being struck and thrown to the ground by her partner, who was presently on no-contact conditions with the victim. The male suspect had left the area but was located a short time later by Police. The male was arrested for Assault and taken to the Terrace RCMP Detachment. The male was later released and is scheduled to appear in court. 

On the evening of Thursday, December 3, 2020 Terrace RCMP were on routine patrol where they observed large group gathering at the BMO on Lakelse Ave. Members attended and observed an intoxicated adult female who was presently bound by the conditions of a probation order, specifically to not be intoxicated outside of their residence. The female became belligerent with Police. Members advised the female she was under arrest where she then resisted. The female was arrested for Breach of Probation and Resist Arrest, transported to Terrace RCMP Detachment and was released once sober by Police Undertaking to attend court.

On the evening of Saturday, December 5, 2020 Terrace RCMP were on routine patrol when a vehicle sped away westbound from the Skeena Pub. Police observed the vehicle rapidly accelerating speeds and spinning out the tires. A roadside stop was conducted by members. The vehicle contained 5 passengers including the driver. A strong smell of liquor permeated from the vehicle. Suspecting the driver may be impaired, members obtained two roadside samples of breath from the driver where they blew a warn. The driver was issued an IRP 3 Day, vehicle was impounded for 3 days and a violation ticket for Drive Without Consideration under the Motor Vehicle Act. 

The Terrace RCMP are requesting assistance in locating a wanted person. Wanted on Terrace files: 2020-5051, 2020-5364 and 2020-5051. Ivan GONU is wanted for charges of Theft of a Motor Vehicle and Mischief under $5000. GONU is in his early-30’s and is described to be an Indigenous male with brown hair and brown eyes. He is described to be approximately 5’6 and 179lbs. If located, contact the RCMP or the police of jurisdiction in your area. Do not confront the wanted. 

The Terrace RCMP are requesting assistance in locating a wanted person. Wanted on Terrace files: 2020-307, 2019-4098 and 2019-12422. Sandra Rene LOENDORF is wanted for charges of Impaired Driving and Drive While Prohibited. LOENDORF is described as late-40’s, 5’8, approximately 155lbs, brown hair and green eyes. If located, contact the RCMP or the police of jurisdiction in your area. Do not confront the wanted.

The Terrace RCMP are requesting assistance in locating a wanted person. Wanted on Terrace files: 2018-10212 and 2019-6157, Joel Adam KAMLAH is wanted for charges of Fraud Under $5000 and Theft Under $5000. KAMLAH is 35 years old. He is described to be Caucasian, 6’5, approximately 225lbs with blonde hair and blue eyes. If located, contact the RCMP or the police of jurisdiction in your area. Do not confront the wanted.
