Cram-A-Cruiser in support of Terrace Food Banks

As the holiday season approaches, amidst a global pandemic and uncertain times for many families in our community, Canadian Foodbanks prepare for a higher than average need for support.

Saturday, December 12, 2020 will mark Terrace’s 10th Annual Cram a Cruiser event in partnership with the Terrace Safeway and Terrace Save on. As a result of the Covid-19 guidelines, monetary donations will be collected as an alternative to physical food items in order to limit any unnecessary contact that could possibly put recipients or donors at risk. This will also allow the Food Bank to purchase specific items that they may be short on.

Coretta King once said The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.

We are proud to give support to our local Food Banks who provide the basic needs to our most vulnerable community members said Staff Sergeant Robinson, Operations NCO Terrace RCMP.

Donations will be accepted on Saturday, December 12, 2020 between 1p.m. and 4p.m. at the Terrace Safeway and Terrace Save On. In years past, the Cram-a-Cruiser events have been able to donate up to 5,500lbs of food in support of the Terrace Food Bank.

For more information on the upcoming event please contact Constable Kristy Doyle, Community Policing Officer at 250-638-7516.
