Police respond to 171 calls from November 16 to November 22

The Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 171 calls from Monday November 16, to midnight on Sunday November 22. Of those calls approximately 76 occurred between Friday the 20 and Sunday the 22. Below are some highlights from calls for service received:

On Monday, November 16, 2020 Terrace RCMP received a request to check the well-being of an adult female who had notified her employer she had been feeling suicidal and had not shown up to work for several days. Police attended the female’s residence and spoke with her about her present mental health state and the current concerns for her safety. Members were able to refer the female to community services and together created a care plan to facilitate on-going support.

On Tuesday, November 17, 2020 Terrace RCMP responded to a report of a missing persons in the Terrace area. The missing was described to be a suicidal adult female and was last known to be in the Terrace area. Local patrols were conducted by members and in partnership with the Hazelton RCMP, the female was located the following day unharmed.

On the evening of Friday November 20, 2020, Terrace RCMP responded to a report of an assault with a weapon at the Terrace Safeway. Witnesses reported they observed a physical altercation between two adult women where one female was struck in the head with a cane the other. Members attended and located the victim who had sustained head injuries. The victim was transported to hospital. A woman was arrested by Police for Assault with a Weapon and Assault Causing Bodily Harm and was later released with no-contact conditions with the victim.

On the evening of Saturday, November 21, 2020, Terrace RCMP responded to a report of a belligerent male punching the doors and windows outside of the K’San Damp Shelter. Members attended and located the intoxicated male who was found to be in breach of the conditions of an Undertaking. The male was arrested for Breach and transported to Terrace RCMP detachment where he was released once sober.

The Terrace RCMP are requesting assistance in locating a wanted person. Wanted on Terrace files: 2018-2915, Kelsey Hidber failed to report for a mandatory DNA collection. HIDBER appears to be in his mid-30’s and is described to be a Caucasian male with light brown hair and blue eyes. If located, contact the RCMP or the police of jurisdiction in your area. Do not confront the wanted.

The Terrace RCMP are requesting assistance in locating a wanted person. Wanted on Terrace files: 2019-2780, Lawrence Trysten Charles Derrick failed to attend court for charges of Sexual Assault. Derrick is described as approximately 22 years old with medium toned skin with brown eyes. He is described as being approximately 5’6 and roughly 160 lbs. His natural hair colour is brown. If located, contact the RCMP or the police of jurisdiction in your area. Do not confront the wanted.

The Terrace RCMP are requesting assistance in locating a wanted person. Wanted on Terrace files: 2019-12295, Tyrone MIKOLOYCZYK failed to attend court for charges of Theft Under $5000. MIkoloyczyk is approximately in his late-30’s with medium toned skin and hazel eyes. He is described as being approximately 5’10 and roughly 200 lbs. He has black short to medium length hair. If located, contact the RCMP or the police of jurisdiction in your area. Do not confront the wanted.
