Shots fired in South Surrey

Surrey RCMP is currently on scene following a shooting in the 14600 block of 20th Avenue in Surrey that has left one man deceased.

On July 30, 2022, at approximately 2:45 p.m., Surrey RCMP responded to a report of shooting in the 14600-block of 20th Avenue. Police attended and located three male victims in medical distress suffering from gunshot wounds. Attending officers provided life saving measures until Emergency Health Services arrived. Despite life saving measures, one of the injured men succumbed to his injuries on scene. The remaining two victims were transported to local hospital with life threatening injuries.

Police are looking for any witnesses or those with dash cam footage from the area to contact police.

The area surrounding the scene will be cordoned off for a significant amount of time. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called and will be working in partnership with Surrey RCMP. Initial investigations are that this was a targeted incident. The investigation is in the early stages and police are currently in the evidence gathering phase. At this point in time, there is no concern for public safety.
