BC RCMP Northern Recruiting Initiative Continues

BC RCMP Recruiting is reopening the fast-track opportunity to a guaranteed posting in the North District for applicants who successfully complete Depot training.

Currently BC applicants can enter into a flexible posting plan where they can return to BC after training. Now, BC RCMP Recruiting is looking for applicants interested in living and policing within our North District area. BC RCMP Recruiting will discuss pre-posting agreements with the suitable candidate’s subject to the successful completion of Depot training.

We have had an overwhelmingly positive response by BC applicants on being able to come back to BC. This new process, will allow BC applicants, who want come back and police in a northern detachment to have their application prioritized. Successful applicants will then head to training in Depot says Sgt Orregaard of Pacific Region Recruiting.

For those who are currently living in Northern BC, and interested in returning to work in Northern BC, the BC RCMP Recruiting team will be in Prince George on November 15th and 16th. This is an opportunity for current applicants to meet one-on-one in person with a BC RCMP Recruiter. Your recruiter will review your application documents, discuss posting options in the North, and speak about timelines and next steps for your application. The BC RCMP provides policing services to a number of rural, coastal and urban communities.
North District is home to numerous limited duration and isolated posts. These are more remote areas with fixed contracts that allow officers to either remain in the communities for an extension or apply to specialized units or other communities to gain more experience in their careers.
